Designed by an Australian Doctor, Vaxcards is a battle-style card game designed to integrate with the vaccination schedule for children, adults and travelers.
Players collect and battle infectious disease against each other. Character design and game mechanics are based around disease symptoms and global health statistics.
An innovative low tech solution to disease education and reward for vaccination. The aim of the game is increased uptake of vaccination, to educate children and parents about diseases they are getting vaccinated against and to be used as a tool for parents to reward children nervous of needles.

A rather chunky text with some fabulous ideas and highly informative explanations/ introductions. A colleague brought this book to my attention and I borrowed her copy. I had only read approx a quarter and decided that I needed my very own copy. This book needs time, focus and attention to be fully appreciated, absorbed and put into practice. I am definitely looking forward to learning more about creative ways to support mine and my children's mental health AND to encorporating suggestions from the authors into my daily/weekly/monthly routine. So far, the creative processes I have read about seem reasonably easy to implement. I think every household would benefit from this book!

The Wheel of the Year An Illustrated Guide to Nature's Rhythms is the perfect book for connecting in with the seasons and I know it will be a staple in our home for many years to come.
