'This is the story of one of the most far-reaching and influentially naughty things we ever did in our lives. We did not mean to do such a deed. And yet we did do it.' After being banished to the countryside for creating even more mayhem than usual, the Bastable children vow to mend their ways. Establishing 'The Society of the Wouldbegoods', their first rule is: 'every member is to be as good as possible'. But sometimes it's just not possible to be good - no matter how hard you try.
A rather chunky text with some fabulous ideas and highly informative explanations/ introductions. A colleague brought this book to my attention and I borrowed her copy. I had only read approx a quarter and decided that I needed my very own copy. This book needs time, focus and attention to be fully appreciated, absorbed and put into practice. I am definitely looking forward to learning more about creative ways to support mine and my children's mental health AND to encorporating suggestions from the authors into my daily/weekly/monthly routine. So far, the creative processes I have read about seem reasonably easy to implement. I think every household would benefit from this book!
I am so happy with this book shop and the ability to be able to buy online vouchers. They were helpful and friendly when needed.
The Wheel of the Year An Illustrated Guide to Nature's Rhythms is the perfect book for connecting in with the seasons and I know it will be a staple in our home for many years to come. So many gorgeous activities, information and wonderful illustrations, you really can't go wrong. I also love supporting independent business, and the Little Lost Bookshop offered delightful service!
A must read for anyone want to get ahead on LinkedIn
This book is so much fun. It moves at a great pace, brilliant humour and so original.
If you are looking for a great holiday read then this is the one.
