Listening to Land offers us a moving testimony in poetry, reflection and art to the power of land in all its forms — plants, animals, water, earth, rock and the many generations of human inhabitants going back to the time of origins. Informed by multiple layers of knowledge — indigenous, scientific, philosophic — the authors of this collaborative work summon us to an understanding of all that is lost when a rich, diverse valley is needlessly drowned. Protesting against the raising of the Warragamba dam wall through this poetic act of collaborative art, Listening to land gathers the collective voice of a community speaking for what they cherish: earth in all its abundance known directly at local level. — Peter Boyle – Poet
This book is so much fun. It moves at a great pace, brilliant humour and so original.
If you are looking for a great holiday read then this is the one.
I highly recommend this book! I couldn't put it down. A very enjoyable read.
I love the characters in this book, I felt like I was invested in their lives.
I missed them very much and quickly ordered the next book when I'd finished it.
This is a really easy to learn and fun game suitable for all ages. I love playing it with my 10 year old as it is quick yet not too fast paced. It feels like much more civilised game than many other contemporary games.
Beautiful book of Poems Uncle Wes Marne was a very remarkable man selflessly sharing his Aboriginal culture
